S.O.S. MARINE
S.O.S. Marine has been in business for over 20 years developing as a retail shop which fitted out over 90% of Australia's 18-footer sailing fleet, two of the world's Maxi Racing Class yachts and becoming Australia's leading shop fitter using marine-grade stainless fitting and wire.

Moving away from the retail area, S.O.S. Marine stepped into manufacturing for Australia's Department of Defence and has continually supplied products to them since 1989. Australia's Olympic Team was wearing Dress bags made by SOS in the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Quality
S.O.S. Marine has independently achieved the Quality Assurance Level of ISO 9001 and this has been used to design specialised vests for the NSW Police Department's Bomb Squad as well as the Waterproof Outboard Motor Bags for the Commando's and SAS Regiments.

Large Contracts
We were the major manufacturer for the Australian Army Directorate of Capital Procurement for the supply of the new Large Field Pack (value approx. $3,000,000), and we have since completed a further contract for the Large Field Packs of $625,000. All these jobs were delivered within the required time framework and quality standards.

Standing Contracts
S.O.S. Marine has supplied for over 8 years and currently holds the Period Contracts with the Australian Navy for the supply of both Pattern 50N and Special Duties Inflatable Lifejackets and has also delivered over $250,000 worth of Lifejackets to the Royal Brunei Navy. We have now commenced delivering Jackets to the Royal New Zealand Navy.

Development
We have supplied the Australian Navy's Boarding Parties Life Jackets as well as the Escape and Evasion Life Jackets for the Navy Clearance Diving Teams.
S.O.S. Marine has closely worked with the Navy's Dive Team developing and supplying many safety items, which include two styles of non-magnetic Diving Buoyancy Compensators for the Mine Counter Measures and Marine Tactical Operations.

We are one of the very few manufacturers of this type of equipment in the world and have recently set up a joint venture with the German company Drager, the worlds leading manufacturer of Under Water Rebreathing Units.

S.O.S. Marine supplies the SAS their Assault Swimmer's Buoyancy Vests, their Diving Buoyancy Compensators, Load Bearing Vests and Gun Holsters, which are approved suitable for parachuting, fast roping and swimming.

With the advent of the Mine Hunter project, S.O.S. Marine has been supplying many of the boat's safety items. S.O.S. Marine manufactures the Navy's Helicopter Lifting Strops and Ship Lifting Strops.

Sydney Olympics
Our involvement in the Sydney Olympics range from Police and SAS Specialised Equipment, Army Bomb Squad ballistic repair backup and, as mentioned, the manufacture of the Official Uniform Dress Bags for the Australian Olympic Team for the Sydney Olympics.

Marine is constantly working to improve and develop new products for our clients, we have recently manufactured various safety items for Sydney Water Police, Australian Customs, Federal Police, and the Northern territory Police, such as Tactical Load Bearing Vests, Gun Holsters and Vests with Inflatable Life Jackets, to suit their individual needs.
