The primary use for a Danbuoy is to mark a man overboard . This highly visible lightweight, marker can easily be applied to a wide range of designations or uses such as, anything that falls over the side, or when marking a shallow channel. It is easily deployed in an emergency, in the event of a man overboard you simply throw the valise by the carry handle in the direction of the person overboard and then the Danbuoy Marker automatically inflates.
