Being phased out of service, this is the current Helicopter Rescue Strop in use by the Royal Australian Navy for rescue and retrieval. Manufactured to AS/NZS1891.1:1995, the retrieval strop has a stainless steel buckle and hook closure and lifting ring, as well as a McMurdo L200 lifejacket light, which is operated by immersion in seawater. The webbing belt is enclosed in foam padding for comfort and a high-visibility fluorescent orange PVC cover. This strop is to be replaced in service by SOS-5184 and SOS-5185.
